Who is Aider?

We spoke with Kristin Grøtte, Senior Consultant and Head of Efficiency at Aider, to hear how the collaboration has been.

Reconciliations in spreadsheets

- For us, it’s a quantum leap to get an automated system, explains Grøtte. Before Aider switched to Accountflow, Excel sheets were the only system they used, and they had to manually enter figures for every single term. With Accountflow, Aider has seen significant time savings, especially in the payroll area. Previously, reconciling employer’s tax and tax withholding for one customer’s term could take up to 45 minutes.

- If there are no discrepancies in Accountflow, you can do it in 10 minutes, Grøtte continues.

For Aider, security is crucial, and it’s important to ensure their clients can always trust them.

- Reconciliation of payroll and VAT in Accountflow provides a completely different level of security compared to using a manual spreadsheet, Grøtte explains. One of the main advantages of Accountflow is the increased security that comes with pulling numbers directly from the ERP system and Altinn.

- There’s no way to manipulate the figures that come from there. Any discrepancies will stand out and require an explanation.

A system for the entire market

Aider has many different clients with varying needs, so it was important for them to find a system that could work for most. Grøtte says, “I think Accountflow has been very good at defining itself as a general system that works very well for 95%. That way, you also maintain the simplicity and clarity of the system.” This allows Aider to serve all its clients in an efficient and reliable way.

Recommending automation

Automating manual reconciliation processes has given Grøtte and Aider better control and security, freed up valuable time, and made the annual reports more organized. Grøtte would recommend Accountflow to accounting firms with clients across various industries and sizes. “It’s efficient, enjoyable, and secure. I would say Accountflow has made our year-end reports much simpler and much more organized. And we have greater control over the status of our different clients along the way,” she concludes.
